Highland Home Carers is looking for a Practice Support Technician to support our Community Teams which are located throughout the Highlands. We provide professionally trained care and support workers from local areas to support local people, enabling them to remain in their own community.

As a Practice Support Technician you will be responsible for leading and supervising the care/support team to provide high standard of personal care and support to the individuals we provide a service to in the community. On occasions, you will deliver care/support yourself.

This role will be based from home or at one of our offices, but regular travel within Highland will be required, predominantly to the Ullapool area. A Driver’s License is essential for this role.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a proven track record of building positive working relationships with people who use services and their families, staff and other health and social care professionals
  • Have experience of providing a person-centred health and social care service, ideally in a community setting
  • Have an SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification) or working towards
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft office packages including Outlook, Word and Excel
